Castlefrank Overpass & Kanata Pedestrian Bridge

The Castlefrank overpass and interchange is the newest link to straddle Highway 417 in the Kanata area. Completed in 2003, the overpass was constructed to accommodate rising traffic volume in the area. During this same period, the Kanata Pedestrian Bridge, located east of the Castlefrank overpass along Highway 417, was replaced.

Houle Chevrier Engineering Ltd. provided professional services during these developments including a geotechnical investigation, piling and rock anchor monitoring and inspection, settlement monitoring, and consultation and review services during the construction phase.
